Texas Capital Chapter 1919, Military Order of the Purple Heart, takes the lead with projects, in addition to our permanent Purple Heart VA Coffee Bar and Purple Santa Programs, that are supportive of America’s currently deployed military, veterans of all wars, veterans’ families, and community youth sports; and acts in concert with other organizations that share these worthy objectives.  Projects are limited in scope only by the resources available and donations are always welcome.  Chapter 1919 pledges to apply 100 percent of contributions received to the project designated. We believe that these projects support the needs of veterans and provide maximum use of your support. Review the overview provided for our current initiatives and please support them.

MOPH 1919 provides  assistance to Veterans and families in need  with emergency situations within the Chapters means.
Red, White & Bike
MOPH 1919 identifies “Little Heroes”, children of "Wounded Warriors" between the ages of 4 through 12 to receive brand new bicycles from this outstanding organization.

Honor Flight Austin
MOPH 1919 has established (DBA) Honor Flight Austin to fund flights for local WWII Veterans to Washington, D. C., in order for them to visit their Memorials.

Texas Vietnam Memorial
MOPH 1919’s own Patrick Reilly has been very instrumental in reviving this fund raising effort to place a Vietnam memorial on the Texas State Capital grounds.

National Educational Center
MOPH 1919’s own Patriot John Burkhardt is Region 12 Coordinator for this private fund raiser for the "Build the Education Center at the Wall” to collect pictures and stories of all Vietnam Veterans who’s names are listed on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D. C.
Heroes Night Out
This outstanding organization raises funds and arranges “paid” events for veterans.

Wheelers for the Wounded
Wheelers for the Wounded - San Antonio is a wonderful non-profit organization that Chapter 1919 partners with to provide wounded warriors access to their off-road adventures.

Fallen Soldiers Project
The American Fallen Soldiers Project is a non-profit patriotic venture of the artist Phil Taylor. He prepares and presents portraits to the families of fallen soldiers.
