THE AMERICAN FALLEN SOLDIERS PROJECT

…benefits specifically for…

 PURPLE HEART RECIPIENTS

The talented and patriotic Phil Taylor’s portraits of fallen soldiers are presented to the families of our American Fallen Soldiers. Phil visits and interviews the families of fallen soldiers, gathering the families’ photos and memories to portray the soldier as best remembered by the family. Phil then produces the portrait and presents the portrait to the family.

Many of the presentations occur at the State Capital, but The Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1919 was fortunate to have Phil present his portrait of Nathan Chapman to his family at our First Annual Salute to Veterans in May of 2009. It was a moving event.
