Chapter 1919 is working with others to develop a transportation hub here in Austin to operate as “HONOR FLIGHT AUSTIN,”.  This project is part of a nationwide effort to honor Veterans and provide them with a trip to Washington D.C, and an opportunity to visit their memorial.  Presently, the goal of the project is to honor Veterans of World War II and host their visit to the memorial that opened there recently and to show these Veterans that our Nation honors their service while they are still able to make the visit. Chapter 1919 Patriots will be given First Priority for all Austin Honor Flights—Tentatively to begin in Early Spring 2012.

Chapter 1919 is now accepting donations to assist Central Texas WWII and other Veterans with serious illnesses to fly to Washington, D.C. to view their respective War Memorials; at NO COST to the Veteran.
